So back to this, just in time to attempt something for the new years event. Totem for Earthshaker. The weighting is way off for now but i just wanted to get something rough blocked and concepted out
I like the idea but it reads slightly blobby in game, hard to tell that they are supposed to be horse heads from in-game distance.
I don't really agree, I think it's not quite hard to recognize those are horse heads, but they look a bit odd right now. Not bad, but odd.
You could maybe rotate the totem 90° so you see both horse heads from the side. Right now and from this angle it looks a bit like he's piggybacking a pony lying on its back, as you are always only seeing one head clearly. Or like he's carrying a rodeo horse whose head someone mounted the wrong way.
Thanks for the feedback, i really appreciate it and it makes sense. The only issue is i'm now running into a problem when i try to compile everything again, it's suddenly not showing up any of the textures. Theres no errors or anything, i don't suppose anyone would know anything about why? (Probably something dumb)
Hey Ro-Zee!!! It looks like this happening to some people across the world (literally) It was posted about in the main thread. I think valve dun messed with some dota settings, and everyone is either crashing or getting grey mats on items.
As far as a quick crit. I'm having a hard time discerning what some materials on the idol are supposed to be made out of. I think the red bits could use another pass on the spec mask to differentiate just a tad. Not like alot but enough that it draws some additional interest. Same goes for the red bit on the horns holder.
Overall I think is coming together nicely, and with some elbow grease it'll be a damn skippy!
