...its only for mobile! But against all odds I still hope that it will be good, probably simplified but could be still good. I know its EA and they could go with Free to Play that would most likely make it awful but then there is Mythic who is making it. I know there are some people from Mythic around here, can you tell anything about it?
I thought there already was one, I remember its kickstarter a while ago. And I'm pretty sure it was by the original guys that made Dungeon Keeper.
Dungeons is just inspired by Dungeon Keeper. It wasn't so good, lots of flaws in it.
But there is War of the Overlord currently in the making which is heavily inspired by Dungeon Keeper. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfHaOLWnLNE
Maybe that is what you meant? It had a Kickstarter but it is not by anyone who worked for Bullfrog. But there is Rich Ridings, the intimidating voice of Dungeon Keeper, lending it voice to WFTO!
Oh yeah, I think that was the one, War for the Overworld. I remember seeing a kickstarter, and one of the videos had the lead designer from the original Dungeon Keeper talking about how he supports the project. I don't know if he's actually involved with it or what.
But at any case, I'm assuming this new one by EA is a remaster/remake, right? It wouldn't have any of the original people either?

Yea, Bullfrog is long gone and EA owns all the rights of the Bullfrog IPs. It seems to be more of a reimagination, style is lots different. I hope the gameplay is still there. Lead designer was of course Peter Molyneux who started Lionhead Studios after Bullfrog which is known for the Fable games and Black and White. He has also left Lionhead Studios not too long ago to start another studio.
wow, how did I miss this..
As someone who worked on Dungeon Keeper 2, it's great to see an updated version of the franchise. Certainly looks very clean and polished and though many might perhaps balk at the idea of it going 'mobile', I can certainly see the game working on a tablet.
