I was surprised at how many entries looked good. Even ones that might not have caught my attention certainly as individual models got a lot of charm by virtue of being a diorama.

The voting process was interesting too. In the end I had a handful of entries that I really liked and I had to judge them on the quality of the UVs. I tend to judge on originality and composition and overall feel more than on technicalities, so that just goes to show how many had those aforementioned elements down.

I'm sad I planned to badly and couldn't finish my own. It's the best competition Polycount has had in... quite a while, at least.
