Polycount Meetup-San Diego

Hey there PC,

I'm looking into starting a meetup for us SD guys and gals, with the potential to turn it into a monthly meetup.

I was thinking a sort of midday meetup on a saturday at a coffee shop, a very layed back, casual chit chat thing to relieve the stress of the work week with a group of like minded people.

As stated in the Trion layoffs thread (You all affected are more than welcome to join) depending on the numbers interested, I'd be more than happy to supply the attendees with a cup o' joe.

2pm to 4pm officially, but I'm not stating a serious end time for those who want to hang out longer.

I'm pretty much in! Escondido is suuuper far. But I can deal. I wish you had a car! Convoy-area has some great japanese cafe type places open late to drink boba and shoot the shit.

Im currently looking at places in north park, by balboa considering the concentration of you downtowners.

This will be on saturdays, and im looking at doing it once a month.

I'll try to make the drive down from pine valley on a saturday...provided I have somebody to watch my kids

else I can come in from mission valley during the week..which is easier.

OP updated with my contact info, please either post here, pm, email, or call me so I can get a roster written up for availability on that date. That way I can get a minute expectation of the coffee budget.

Updated OP with a flexible time for this. I'm also sending out PM's to those who posted here to try and get a solid headcount. I have two rsvps so far, looking for at least six to make this a solid get together.

The 31'st is open to debate really, So far I only have two people who have confirmed that they can come. I am completely alright with changing the date, especially given the drives that some of us will have to do to get to the downtown meetup, not to mention I have to take a bus and do some walking from escondido to Downtown. If there's a large concentration of members attempting to decide between Sd and Sm, I may as well change the date so we can get a larger concentration/better conversation.

Feel free to pop a date that works for you and I can work around that.

31st sounds good. Slaters 50/50 would be awesome. I don't think it's strictly 21+.

Alright, called Slaters to confirm I can actually go. Thats all good. The Santa Monica meetup has changed date to Friday the 29th. I need to talk to some people regarding some details and may or may not change the date.

6 is people! plus I'll most likely make it and Remi sounded like he could as well. There's also potentially those that may not use the FB thing.. but we're looking at 7, maybe 8. I don't see that as any reason to call it off haha, but more would be neat.
