Hey all, I have posted a couple of times in the August comp thread, but would like some more feedback now I am moving closer to texturing. I originally posted this
But it was suggested that I take the metal rings off and just have them as texture so I could use more tris elsewhere.
I now have this with 70 tris to play with
Ignore the texture really, it's just basic colours and AO to help visualise.
I also wanted to ask a few tech questions. Am I able to have the whole thing jiggling on his back? Originally he has a basket with fish that jiggle, but only the fish (I believe) and could I have the mug jiggling too?
Also am I able to have a water drip particle effect coming out the end of the tap?
Thanks for any advice!

I would recomend making the tap of the barrel into a more medieval one .( it looks kinda modern to me )

good luck .
And if you intend to make more stufs , I suggest making a thread with all your updates in it so you dont have to create a new thread for every new item.
Thanks for the ref on the tap, that looks a lot better, I have a bunch of ref for antique and wooden taps now. Will re model
Ok, thanks for the help on the jiggle too.
Mainly worked on the wood texture so far, let me know what you think.
It's sitting at 380 tris atm, so need to take some out for it to get to Lod1 (300), but can add some more in for lod0 (500). Was thinking of adding some little notches in the top of the wood at the top between planks. Feedback welcome!
I have 2 different colours for the wood, one slightly lighter and the other darker.
which do people prefer?
I think it's pretty much there unless anyone also can add any suggestions?
I also plan to put a little logo on the side for "Whale Ale" . But I'm not sure if you are allowed words? So I was just trying to think of a way to get that across in pictures... Possible a pic of a whale then "XXX" does that signify alcohol to people?
Thanks for the input
I was afraid of that! I'll try a few different ideas
What do you mean by clear colour? As in make it stand out from the edge planks more?
So here are a few shots of it in game. I think I am pretty much done now, unless anyone has any other suggestions?
