Hey, so im doing this High poly project only, always wanted to have a perfect model of my fav handgun, been posting some wips on my facebook, didnt know if ill ever finish it so i didnt open a thread,
ill be posting renders here mostly using vray/mental ray viewport and some keyshots

You used the noise on the bump channel & an hdr on the reflection channel for the metal of the gun? If yes,how did you managed to make them work properly together? When I apply the noise on the bump channel,everything works fine,then I put the reflection & the bump gives a super weird effect...:poly141:
sometime you need to uv the model so it wont be messed up
The reflection on the silver metal is beautiful!
Only thing not convincing me are the bullets, they have a odd specularity, the real ones are a lot more diffuse and not as reflective, maybe toning down the brightness of the reflections and specularity would help with this, but im not sure , the chest is really reflective aswell , it looks almost wet, maybe a little less ; )

Heres another 2 for now,
im using keyshot and vray lately
i didnt, its just the bump of the shader sparkles with the reflection/hdri
i guess but they ill feel bad about myself cause i dont do anything special and i have nothing new to bring to the modeling world haha
im really using only the basic tools extracting edge mostly doing everything manually
i just put shitload of time on rediculous details making everything perfect
