Help with updating my CV

Hello you lovely people :)

I am currently updating my CV as I am starting to look into moving on from my current job (just coming up to my 6 month review and just incase it goes pear shaped) it seems like a good idea to update my CV with all the new skills, experience that I have learnt since being at my new job.

The problem I am having is that I am pretty sure my CV is horrible. Its not very "list" like, its kinda a mis-mash over paragraphs and lists. I originally had lists but then I was advised that I needed to explain things more; thus I included a few paragraphs (1 per section) explaining stuff. So instead of being like

3DS Max
Mental Ray
V-Ray
Mudbox
Photoshop

etc... I would explain that I had experience in using these packages. Now the problem I have is that I wrote it as "MyName is currently working on blah blah and MyName has experience in dealing with deadlines.

I am sure you get the point :poly142: So I was wondering, how best should I construct my paragraphs explaining things? In 3Rd person even though it sounds weird to talk about myself like that:poly121: or 1st person for some parts?

I have a wealth of new experience that I really want to get across well, but I am not sure how I have done it so far is the best way. I have checked out a load of CV templates but I thought it would be best to ask you guys what you do, or what you like to see from a candidate.

Thanks for your help, even if you think that possibly you don't know if its the right advice, I'd still like to hear it and get some fresh ideas :).

Thank-you
