So, I'm moving from Dallas, Texas to Orlando, Florida on the 20th of August! Just wondering who on Polycount is from the Orlando area? Or even anywhere in Florida! If you are, you should totally suggest some cool bars and places to hang out! Heck, maybe we could even meet up and have a beer or something!

Hook me up! xD
But hey, I'm here in Orlando, just moved into town myself.

Jeeze you guys need to learn how to get out and find stuff.
ok a few cool places to meet up and hang
A comic shop (which has a bar in the back that is videogame/comic themed, every tuesday night they have trivia night if you win you get your entire tab payed for)
Theres Bart Bar, which is a small bar that has 90's arcade machines (all free except for the fighting ones) and have a great selection of unusal beers and actually tailor a beer to your taste (there locally owned and nice people)
If you want a more "disney/touristy cool thing" to do
Theres Player 1 - Video Game Bar. Which is like bart bar, but you pay 5 bucks to get in and all the games are free, its like 5-6 times the size of bart bar, and all the bartnders dress up like video game characters (all girls who are bartenders) and the bouncers/security all dress like video game tough guys (kratos and gears of war and shit)
So if you arent up for that scene.
Theres "the moat" which is a UCF bar off alafaya thats chill.
Anyway We got a few of us in o-town now including a few new guys who are moving/moved who are Pcounters. We should maybe arrange a meetup.
I would definitely be down for a meetup, it definitely seems like there are enough people around here.
The good thing about Latitudes is that it has 3 bars to go to. 5 dollars cover. The bottom bar is more frozen drinks and dancing. The middle floor is beer and country-ish type and Latitudes is roof top bar with music and dancing.
It's funny to me how a lot of us probably work right next to each other... ScubaSteve, I used to work with your coworker named Steve, and I work with a couple people who used to work where you do
I was talking to Synaesthesia earlier about this, but we could do a meet sometime around IITSEC if you all want, and I'm always down to do lunch at Ale house in Waterford during the week haha!
Steve: That sounds great. I'm not much of a drinker but I do enjoy chatting, so one of these days I'll have to make some time and head over there if you guys are up for it.
Memory: I commute to work via bicycle from Oviedo so I'd have to be picked up to meet anyone for lunch during the week. I'm at the SAIC office on Science Drive.
Seforin: Sure, name a day and time!
'Sup Drew. Let's get a beer.
Whatever whenever dudes.
we can do the moat I think thats in a spot for all of us to meetup and hang thats a fair middle ground and not to far from any of us.
How about we aim to meet at 11:30 am to beat the lunch rush?

We will get you drunk Greg don't you worry! We want to here your mountain stories.
Tell me about all the bears and wild boars you killed and ate to gain there powers.
Hey Shiniku, think you can pick me up on Friday on your way up Alafaya? I'd love to take the car but my wife needs it for taking my daughter to school.
A lunch meetup would be difficult for me, it'd be like a 15 minute drive up and then back, and by the time I got my food and ate I don't think I'd hardly have any time to socialize. I'd definitely be down for an evening meetup sometime, though...
No worries Jon. Seems like there will be more since there is interest. I am sure there will be some more industry meet ups.
