Hi guys im looking to test somestuff on my model with out putting in the textures but i cant seem to find out how to export a .Mdl im using maya 2013!?!?
I would recommend posting requests for help in one thread or in the workshop technical help thread.
In any case, you need to export as a .fbx or .smd to import to Dota 2. I always use .fbx personally and have never had many problems but I've heard people say they get better results from .smd.
