The curves of the body, especially near the tail, seem a bit disjointed. Perhaps a few more segments along the body would help give more natural, flowing curves.
For the head, you might want to look at some armored fish like the dunkleosteus.
I'd do a layer on top that was transparent, sort of like a wash, in order to make it feel like it is in the water instead of on top of the water.
Looks really cool though. You will probably have to contrast those harness bits some more too.

Yes 'With Teeth' is taken from the NIN album title
That fish reference is cool, I had been using a lot of deep ocean fish as reference but mixed up a lot of elements.
I also did struggle with having the 'fish' appear underwater, ie transparent atmosphere in front of it, but also having it pop out at the viewer.

could use depth of field
these particels are almost the same size ( there is no near and far )
also maybe add some sun rays from above also will give more depth to the scene
