I Need some help on this One
I got a character that consists of two Parts (Main Body and tshirt).
When I skinned the character to the skeleton the tshirt was only parented to the main body.
And that's why I think when I test exported the binded Skelton with the parented meshes udk did not recognize it.
It only exports the main body.
So my question is should I always combine the meshes ( clothing etc. ) before I skin the skeleton. Does that matter? What happens to the uv coordinates when I do combine them? Can I still assign the corresponding materials to each and every mesh in udk after combination in maya.
And finally is there any free auto weighting script for maya?

if you want to add multiple materials just select faces and apply a new lambert. You should see multiple material indexes in UDK
