painted sword

Ok this is my first go at a hand painted sword. i did some stones before but they were really bad at first and still only mediocre now. The original concept for the sword is not mine as i was following a tutorial but used different, but similar, colors to the original so i could hopefully better understand the painting process.

P.S. i don't know how to show a wire frame model. also here is a link to the tutorial.

and yes i paid for it and honestly i don't care as that was the most enjoyable tutorial i have gone through in a long time. normally i have a hard time staying focused on learning but i sat down for several hours on this sword. there is a shield there too but i will do that tomorrow because i need to sleep. once i have done them both i will start on my own ones and that's where i can really make sure i understand this style enough to improve on my own.

I am pretty much a noob in general but in my opinion you could add a little contrast and definition. It seems a little washed out at the moment. Define the materials better like the gold decorations. Look at a photograph of how the highlights look on gold weapons. Hand painting seems fine just like 90% done.
