VG Remix - Quake

I made this very rough just to see if my idea would workout. I think it's doable. I want to turn the gritty 90's extremeism of Quake into something cutesy. I will probably depart from the anime/manga look for something more illustrative.

This will have two scenes on opposite sides. One will be Ranger dangling from a ledge attempting to get quad damage to beat Shubsy. The other will be Ranger with pentagram of protection fending some of the more common monsters.

Got the Ranger almost done. Still need to triangulate and spin some edges to get them to shade right.

Playing with some textures. It's quite a bit bigger than final size. I think I'm going to mess with colors of the clothes a bit more before I do the final this weekend.

Had to backtrack and fix up the mesh for Ranger quite a bit and re-UV it. Got it rigged, just got to finish the textures. The first texture is for the battle with Shub and the second is for the under-scene where he will have the Pentagram of Protection while battling monsters. Last one is wires for the new model.

Still a lot to do before this evening. Haven't made the geometry changes but I'm going to scrap the under-scene due to time constraints. Still have at least 4 more props to texture, the rocket, the axe, a shotgun, and Doomguy's helmet under Shub's tentacle. Got to finalize Ranger's pose. Finish Shub's texture. Add something to the underside of the base. Should take another 8hrs at most.
