Here goes .. I always say I'm going to enter a competition and never so this time I'm going to go for it. I hope I haven't left it too late. I can see a few late nights ahead. Anyway time to get into it.
Ive chosen my first ever game, loved this thing! Its a tough character .. Octopus .. I like the challange so it will hopefully keep me interested. Most of all I hope you guys like it.

I did this quick sketch to work out composition .. need to start modelling asap if Im going to make it on time.

Octopus looks cool, make sure to turn lighting off so you don't get the gritty shading from Maya

wow this is looking good, love your colors. My advice would be to make the yellow more turquoise-ish to imply that it's underwater. You could also make a bluer texture variant for the submerged divers.

In Sketchfab and it works .. now I need to work out alpha transparencies in Sketchfab so I can put in some seaweed etc. Then Im done.

Thanks guys .. On the home stretch now. Just tweaking and its all coming together. Happy little discovery was to paint part of the tentacles on the water wall, really adds depth. So I put in a shark to add interest.

This looks great! critique would be to close of the base of the diorama. The shadow around the buttons doesn't line up particularly well and the backs of the scuba divers is black (Though i'm guessing thats not done yet along with the anchor). Also it would be nice to see the mini volcanoes blending with the ground.

Seems like a very difficult Game to create a Diorama around since it was so restricted by the times visual technology. Your creativity to think outside the box and not only bring this game to life but into the modern day is really impressive. Great Job! You have my vote

This is the single greatest thing I have ever bared witness too. My life will never again feel a love like what I feel now, I shall never farther kids because I know that I cannot dedicate enough emotion to satisfy them knowing that this creation of beauty exists. We finally have an answer to the question 'is there a God?'. Yes, yes there is. When humans from the future look back at earths greatest achievements, this will resinate in their minds. I have nothing left in life, the sixty or so years of happiness I expected to live has all been crammed into this one perfect moment. There should be shrines and temples dedicated to this work of nothing less than pure genius. If you do not win this contest or at the very least a nobel prize, then this planet is more lost then we could ever imagine...

I love how everything flows together so well; it feels like one contiguous entity. And painting the silhouettes into the backdrop was a brilliant move. Fantastic job all around.
