One of the very first games I ever played was Quest for Glory 1. At the time it was called Hero's Quest but they changed it shortly after release. Somewhere around here I have the original box. I go back to this game every couple years to get back to my roots.
This may be way over ambitious given the short time frame, and I haven't quite nailed down the scope I want to take, but I'd like to recreate the town in QFG1. I think I can handle it if I limit the diorama right to the base of the wall on the outside, and leave out foliage. I'm counting on 5 characters at the max, but if I run low on time I'll only do the hero and maybe the sheriff and otto.
I'm planning on taking ideas from both the EGA and VGA version. I like the over the top coloring of the EGA version, and the layout of the VGA mostly.
Here's my inspiration sheet. Concept drawing and rough model layout coming tomorrow.
