Hello! Sorry for my late entry, just found out about this contest today, and it my first Polycount contest, but I would very much like to give it a try. My idea is a low poly 3D Diorama of an environment from the Sea of Serendipity zone of the Game Rayman: Origins. I think it will be an interesting challenge to translate the game's unique art style and vibrant color pallete into 3D. I dont use forums very often so please forgive me if I link something the wrong way.
Thanks! Here's a concept drawing of the environment. It's kind of vague but I know I definitely want to have the flying pirate ship, Rayman, the Glute frog-like characters that inhabit the area and the wooden structures build on top of the platforms.
Modeled and UV'd the Airship, also UV'd the Glute model. Both were UV'd in 3D-Coat which made the process exceptionally quick and easy. My planned pipeline will be to model everything in Softimage, UV and texture in 3D-Coat, and pose and upload from Zbrush
Finished modeling the buildings, figuring out the placement of them on the terrain. Probably going to add a rope bridge to connect the long dock and the smaller building in the middle. Then its on to UV and texture
Textured the Buildings and Terrain, now just need to add a couple of props, and the airship , and Rayman and Globox of course, and I think that will be it for me.

Best of luck with it!
