Hey guys, been a while since i last posted anything but i figured i'd have a bash at this.
This is my first propper go at anything super low poly and low res texturewise, so i don't know where this will end up but it should be good fun.
My setting will be the fight in WoW against Yogg Saron.
I'm going to be making a stylized version of him, his room and 3 heroes taking him on.

The tentacles are seperate objects at about 50 tris or so each, Yogg himself is at 500 tris and the hero is a little over with 538 tris.

Started textureing the warrior. Got half of it done, still missing legs arms and shoulders, and then a small texture for the weapon.

ignore the black patch on the texture for now.
nerd brain is twitching "omg no way they could take on Yogg in Tier 2 and Tier 4 armor!"
but one word fixes that: Transmog!

Got the warrior finished. Now in the scene with Yogg.

warrior textures:
One issue I'm seeing is the silhouette of Yogg. His feet match right up with the end of the axe, and its hard to distinguish his pose from most angles. Possibly try getting a gap between those.

Also, my next port of call will be the room. Once that's done i can be sure the majority of the scene is finished before taking on the last 2 characters, at least then i'll have a more or less finished piece if i don't have time to get everything done.
Lastly, i'm changing the warlock to a death knight. that way i can save a bit of time by re-using the base character mesh from the paladin/warrior, as well as by-pass any need for opacity maps (spells etc).
made the chains and the plynths around the outside.
Also fixed the legs and axe on the warrior.

Still need to sort out a suitable way of doing a shadow too for the warrior, maybe look at making a small texture grabbed from the texture below the warrior to get a faked soft shadow without baking it onto the rock texture.

I've also added a few more polys to the rocks to get some better forms.
I'll need to make a mvoe on the other characters quickly now though.

I've done some fiddling and here is the new room. It's pretty much done now, apart from the archway which i think will be the last addition to the room.
After that i'll have about 2.5 evenings to try and get the last 2 characters done.
The platform 'particle' effects are done via Escalator's nifty work around of the 1-bit alpha by using stretch/squashed UVs along with the filtering of the texture to get a blurred alpha.

Nice depth on the ground too.
I dig what you did with the icy rocks, adds depth.
A lot of changes made and the Paladin is in too.

Only 1 more thing to do now which is the deathknight. However, i'm away for the next few days! hopefully i'll have tim on sunday evening before the deadline to get it all completed.
The deathknight himself is done and posed, also unwrapped. Just the textures to do now. But those sowrds i'll still need to model.
