Hi!

A couple of days a aggo, I really wanted too learn how make characters, mainly since I only do Hardsurface models... And I thought that I would make a "cartoonich" style, and maybe try some HandPainting. I would start with a Concept, and go from there... My problem was that I went allitle too far out from my own Concept.. And ofc, make it LowPoly



Not too much of a concept, but enough too get me started.

Then I started my Handpainting...
Way too off from my Concept and I found out really quick that I wasn't any good at it.



Stopped here, becouse of my lack off skills and went over too Zbrush too try there... Luckely it went some better, though I need allot more practice! And maybe learn too stick with my Concepts.



Was allot of fun though!

The Eyes are just a filler for now! should maybe mention that the whole thing is still a wip, and that the eyes is just some base colors right now... I will look into the nouse though, thanks!

Okey! So I finally figured out I wanted too actually finnish this model. and then give the whole concept allitle more "flesh on the bones" !! And, to make it more interessting.

Not all done yet, but just wanted to lie down another Wip!

Looking good so far. I really like your contrast in materials, metal, leather, fur etc. The hands are the first thing that I notice need work, in color and form. I would like to see them a similar color to the face to unify the body more(maybe the glass is tinted, if so I would tone it down some to bring his body together more). Also I think you should figure out the anatomy of the hand. Paul Richers book is great for that. Right now it just looks like the lower arm runs into the fingers, I think there could be more definition between arm, wrist, palm and then fingers. I hope some of the helps.

Looking cool, I really like the coat and colors. One thing that you could fix up though is that the folds on the pants don't seem to interact with the metal plating. Especially near the ankles I would expect the cloth to crunch up. Same goes for the straps around the coat.
