Hey Polycount community!
I'm a huge fan of the Warcraft franchise. As a Hordie, I wanted to see the city Orgrimmar in the low poly style
The plan is to make the Valley of Strength-portion of old (pre-Cata) Orgrimmar, as well as the characters Thrall, Vol'jin and Cairne.

Modelled Thrall today currently UV-mapping him.
Same with the hair. Is it worth it to model the thickness of the hair or would a simple plane of polys for each strand work better?
Another thing is functionality. The pointy thumb combined with the short fingers makes the hand look weird. And because it is so low poly and lacks any real joint loops I'd anticipate it animating poorly. Chopping off the thumb and including it into a fist might be a better solution.
Hope that's helpful. Good luck!

I'm with spacey though, especially on the hands. When looking at your model from the side, I can't even tell it's a hand - it looks like he has no hand. I understand what you;ve tried to do with the hand but for it to be effective you need to convey that it's a hand through the texture, at the moment all I see is a stud.
Anyways, good luck!
Here's Cairne Bloodhoof!

I've made a flight tower and Thrall's Doomhammer, which means that the project is complete On to the submissions thread!
Sharpness and contrast is important! High and low values, push evverything as far as you can. You can do so much with textures! Oh and put up some screen caps with a grey background and "Use No Lights" checked in
Ben Mathis knows his low poly! http://www.poopinmymouth.com/3d/beastman_constr.jpg
