Awww yisss, it's God Hand everybody!
When I heard about this contest, I knew I could only choose one of two games: God Hand or Advance Wars.
Now, I'm not saying that Advance Wars is ruled out but in light of the fact that Klamp, a friend of mine, is digging into it here, I decided that I'd take a swing at God Hand first.
I wouldn't mind doing two dioramas (if I have the time) but I wanted to get some work done on God Hand first!
Next post will have my reference.

My rough pass over the model for Gene. Did this quick so there are proportion issues galore and I'm missing his head, the scarf and the belt.
Dinner and then back to work!
I refined the model a bunch. Fixed a lot of the proportion issues and got rid of some superfluous polys that were floating around. The new, non-hideous one is one the left. Right now, sans head and scarf, it's at 404 tris so I think it'll be right on the money once I get those in.
A big shoutout to Tommay Tallian for his work on the TF2 characters. Looking at those really helped me out with the hands.
