photoshop dull colors

Hello , I just noticed that my photoshop doesn't shows the color of my screencaptured images, .... I mean for example in the game skyrim or any other thing when I grab a screenshot with the stamp key , the vivid colors of my monitors are not reproduced in the picture taken by PS and looks like more desaturated and dull ... is there any setting that is altering somehow the true image ?

I've had similar issues before. I would paste a screen cap of something simple like a Web browser window into Photoshop and the colors are immediately off... On the same monitor.

I'm not sure if this is the problem, but it's worth checking. See if the image is set to CMYK mode under the Image>Mode menu. Photoshop defaults to CMYK for new documents and that could cause the difference in color display.

it is most likely a color profile issue.

try this, go to view- > proof setup -> monitor RGB

also make sure your color setting is sRGB and not Adobe RGB or something else.
all our work is usually viewed in sRGB finally, so if you view a sRGB file in AdobeRGB which is wider range than sRGB, your colors will look dull.
