Today's progress:

- Revamped the blockout to a much better set up (much thanks for the crits guys!)
- Unwrapping and texturing coming next

    Got some progress that I hope to get uploaded tonight or tomorrow. On travel but just wanted to let you all know I'm working hard!

    Lookin pretty good so far, though I think Duke could be a big stockier (especially in the chest area). He's a pretty beefy dude, and right now he's looking a little lean.

    Looking forward to seeing the textures! :D

    Not sure what happened to my settings but you should be able to see the spot where Duke is holding off against the aliens. I have a building with a blown out wall so that when you rotate the scene you still have some interesting view. Right now I am plotting out all enemy positions with the Pig Cop.

    More progress. Not sure what happened but in the viewer I am getting lots of artifacts when I use the original mode with any settings. Is this happening for anyone else?

    Alemja, thanks! Yes that is intentional. I am going to be capping those off and smoothing out the ground. Will be adding some exposed pipes and such to make it look more like the whole chunk of ground was lifted up a bit.

    Did you see the "not so hidden" logo? I hid it in the same way that Duke would hide, which is not at all. lol

    Why so small characters in a huge environment. I barely saw them the first time. Nice touch with the logo though.

    AimBiZ, Good point. I will work with shuffling the buildings around and try to scale down the world, thus, up the characters. I want to make a focus area around Duke holding off against the horde.

    Update: Took some notes over lunch and started the blockout over. Trying to take everyone's thoughts into consideration. Thank you very much.

    FYI: the large thing is the boss, the ovals will be Octobrains. Pig Cops used for all enemies at the moment.

    Update: I've been reworking the environment to better suit a focus on Duke (that's the way he would want it lol). Building on the right will be either a Duke Burger or Store. I haven't decided which just yet. Got that building hollowed out and smoothing groups applied. I've also did a quick and dirty Multi-Sub Object material on the ground to differentiate the lava/toxic waste from the ground. For now the boss has been hidden as I am working on characters during lunches and the environment at home.

    I say make the diorama even smaller. You can make a more effective composition by just having one ruined building(or just pile of rubble) of which he's standing on top, blasting away. This way you can make more triangular composition with the monsters coming at him from the base. The old cover even have that sort of thing going on which looks cool imo. Those big flying things are destractive. Just having the boars are probably enough but one of them could be included being further away form the fight like an approaching boss battle.

    AimBiZ, thank you for your input. I think you are right I do have a lot going on. Going to reduce it to 1 1/2 buildings and use the space around it to show just a few iconic things from the game; like the Pig Cops.

    Thanks for all the crits guys, I have revamped the layout and I like this one much better. It makes better use of the space and I was able to pull some iconic elements into a more solid composition.

    Anyone else having issues getting texture applied in Sketchfab? I'm following the same procedure, which is outlined in the FAQ and I get no textures to appear. do you see the textures below?

    The character looks good. But no, I cannot see the textures. If the character has UVs and all is right, when you import it into Sketchfab, you just do click over Diffuse Color icon (the first one in Materials, and then, drag the texture over "Upload a texture" (or load it), and that would be all. Good luck with the scene. Duke Nukem is a cool game!
