I know he is a bit too polished for a lowpoly game, but I LOVE concept art and you know...
The proportions are good in my opinion, and the outfit design is the original because the KHII version is more complex and I love the color scheme of the former.
Critics, comments and even overpaintings are very appreciated!!
BTW, I want to share the process. I'm a freak of "step by step" images.
And here's a sneak peak of the next character, Donald grumpy-but-kawaii duck.
First sketchfab!, yay!

Now I'm working on the thumbnails, and to be honest I'm not very convinced with the two options. That said, I think I'm going to work on the second one.
And here's the blocking.
I could use some help if you have any ideas
Cheers!
As the others mentioned, the difference with that first idea, is that it's a very vertical scene, and we don't have a lot of those in the competition as a lot of them are mostly horizontal...so....
hope that didn't make the decision harder!
Well, and before bed (it's midnight in Spain) I want to share the second member of the crew, already finished!
And the process, of course.
(I'm dying to model this one...)
And the process, as usual:
And well, I know this is a 3D contest and I feel like you are sick of my drawings, but I just love to do concept art and blablabla... I'm really enjoying this shit and here you can see the awesome KH trio!!
(I promise I'm gonna start modelling right now)
only maybe instead off a rock/mountain opposite off the town make it a big mass of heartless!

I'm still thinking about how to make Traverse Town...
Now I know what I wanna do with Traverse Town! (This is the last concept, promise!)

In fact this is just a test. And you may wanna know that if you want to use any opacity, the whole object gets wacky and transparent like the normals were inverted. So keep your transparent planes in a different object with a different material ID.
And if you want to check the texture:
But anyway, the average polycount of the 3 characters is 550 tris, so I'm OK with that. Are you?

Nice work loving this.
Just finished Donald Duck texture. I think it's OK, but it's hard to detail things in a 128 texture. What do you think about it?

Here's the texture:
If so... I just read, that they aren't allowed for the contest (just so you know).
I really LOVE that texture. So small, jet so beautiful!
mario: Impressive that you've managed to maintain the likeness of these iconic characters at such a low resolution. One thing is bugging me about Donald's head: you could do with spacing the eyes apart more. Looking at some reference the area between his eyes is much larger than you have it on the model.
Oh! Didn't see that update till now! I just read somewhere in the Q&A Thread that alphas weren't allowed and stopped reading after that... ha ha!
Good to know, thanks =D
Sorry!
And Goofy is here with me to bring back from the dead this thread

Fenyce: Thanks for the advice! But yeah, alphas are now allowed (yay!!)
Spacey: Good observation! I really appreciate it and I'm going to correct the distance of the eyes as soon as possible.
darkmag07: Thanks! It will be a shame not to finish this because I've put a lot of effort in it. By the way, your KH thread is awesome, I really want to see yours finished too!

In the end I did Traverse Town in the gummi ship view because I was running out of time. Now, the more I look the result the more I love the new idea. What do you think? This has been a lot of work and a lot of frustration sometimes, but at the same time I enjoyed a ton. Thanks Polycount and Sketchfab for this contest!
