So I'm very new to UDK and i'm finding the units confusing. As I understand it, 16 unreal units is equal to 1 foot, and a player character is 96 unreal units. So my problem comes in when I try to build anything to that scale. When I create a box 96 units tall, and then hop in and test, it's too short.
It seems like my player scale is just set too big for some reason (I'm experiencing this off a fresh install)
Is there any way to change the scale of the player? I understand I probably have to change something in the scripting, but is there a specific place I would do that?

Also, very important and I guess it's what you're missing here, In your editor go to View - World Properties - Game type. Change your Default Game type and Game Type for PIE to UTGame.
