Hey guys just wanted a critique on this hand painted wood texture I made. I know I can add more to it, im just not sure what I should do next. Anyway any critiques would be great thanks.

You could even work on defining the edges a bit further by darkening the gaps a smudge, but that all depends on the look you're going for.
eg:
(I think I went too dark there, but it was a bit of a rush job.)
One other thing you could work on is the scratches in the wood. Some of them are wonderful, ie
It's soft so it looks like natural dents in the wood.
However, some of your scratches are very jagged and too sharp.

@Graylord I was just really trying to make the texture look like wood I didnt have any specific direction
Reference really helps get you where you're going. I think I see a fibers filter in that texture, I suggest bumping down the opacity and make more strokes off of what general shapes you see in the fiber filter, then paint your lighting info around that and go from there.
