Those sunshafts are waaaaaaay too overpowering. It looks like your relying on post process effects to make your art look good, dont do that.

Besides that...I think you could do more with the ground in this shot...I don't see any vegitation, or any props hardly...just looks like a big empty space atm.

Also, everything is really desaturated, try getting some color in there!

Agree with gsokol, the effects are very distracting. You could do some really cool stuff with overgrown grass and weeds taking over the place and old machinery laying around. Also old barns look really interesting and would be really neat to see.

Lots of interesting textures and materials to be had on a farm. Large stonework and wooden planks with that old red paint on them chipping away, the roofing as it gets old simetimes wilo start to cave in and get holes in it and the coloration can fet really crazy saturated blue. Things get really dusty on a farm too cause of all the dirt and hay.

Thank you guys so much for the feedback! We've been toying a lot with new foliage and the color/saturation of the map and it's great to hear your input. So far, this has been a two-man team with one on audio and one on the environment, so it's been a little tough getting a large amount of diverse assets.

Levigilbert, I've definitely been thinking about trying some dust and more particles, but haven't jumped into on this map yet. Any suggestions on some good ways to create layers of settled dust? All I'm finding right now is mainly decals and/or hard surface stuff. Great suggestions on the paint and other distress aspects, by the way.

I agree with the other feedback on the sunshafts and adding in more foliage. I think the moon is too transparent and oddly shaped, could just be me though. From what I see it looks pretty good other then that.

Thanks! We're actually playing with the lightshafts right now. I think the aspect ratio was skewed a bit whenever it was uploaded to YouTube, causing the moon distortion and several other issues. Not too happy with YouTube lately.

Also, good point on the moon transparency. I haven't really noticed that, but I think there's a layer of some light-colored clouds that might be screwing with that. Good catch!
