Hello Polycounters,
time for another part of my military Project.
This time it's an Helicopter, finished the HP and LP and started with the texturing. This time I want to define the materials first and than get into the details, like scratches and such.

there's a lot of stuff going on there! attention to detail will sell your model
Well in an early stage the Helicopter was bit more bulgy, but I didn't liked it that much.
Yes the back rotor is kinda short, fixing this atm.
I did the color scheme for my Mech first. I wanted to make a topic for my portfolio, but I might change that, I'm not quite sure yet.
For the top rotor I took a Comanche Helicopter for reference. That suits bit better, in my opinion, for a futuristic design.

(Note the slight blade twist in this pic. All helicopter blades are twisted like that to help even out the lift along the length of the blade.)
As you mentioned, the tail rotor should be larger, but I also think that the vertical stabilizer on the tail should be much larger too. It's what works against the torque of the main rotor to keep the heli flying straight during forward flight.
Maybe something like this:
Little Update
Fixed the tail and top rotor
Now working on a new color scheme, not quite satisfied yet.
Changed the color, added details, worked on the Glass, etc.
