We don't have fun here! The items must follow the lore, theme or feel of the hero, not be just randomly tacked on bunny ears, or ninja gear on meepo, which is removing parts of silhouette to make matters worse. Try concepting something fitting.
And no, submitting something silly during easter/halloween/new years/hanukkah is not making it fitting in any way.
It could easily that he found the gear whilst gold hunting or whatever he does, also it's not finished yet so the final result may be very different from what you're seeing right here. I can easily make the ninja suit look like countryside suit made out of scrap and so on.
What Vlad is trying to say is that it doesnt fit his character. Meepo is a bumbling country treasure hunter. Even if he were to find some sweet ass polished swords, he wouldn't give two fucks because he's not elegant or sophisticated, he's a digging rat (more or less).
Yeah you're partially right, but for me it's difficult to come up with something of my own so I do stuff like that. At least I get to model and improve and maybe with just enough adjustment get into workshop.

Opened up his mouth area, as in he had a fight with ninja or someone else killed him so his clothes are gonna be a bit worn up, maybe I'll add a buckle or something so it looks more country

That's what's right with the Dota 2 workshop! Dota has always been uncompromisingly hard in terms of gameplay design, so the same applying to art design is only natural.

Does this have any potential or should I just ditch it? Maybe with textures right enough, and some sort of eye piece it could work out
they're right. It does clash a good deal with the hero lore. You're gonna have to do some more digging and thinking if you want to make it actually work.
As far as the thing itself, i think it looks awesome. well done. but i don't like your chances of getting a successful submission out of it.
also: andrew...i'm with spud and vlad on this one. I would HATE to see a lot of rubber chickens and santa hats in dota. I hope it never stops being lore-centric and unwelcoming of joke submissions. If that's the kind of stuff you're looking fore you should just stick to TF2.

Well, I can.
Good idea, too bad a bit late for that
Gonna be sketching some more on top so it doesn't look very bland. (especially head piece).
(Not talking about textures)

I see what you did there...

Well you know our side of things and it seems like you got a lot of feedback from the community as well so there's plenty of opinions floating around but ultimately the decision lies with you.
