hey all~

i've been working on a little fanart of my favorite game of all time - spelunky

my preliminary sketches for proportions + basic ideas

issues i'm aware of + currently fixing:
faceting texture on the hat
adding more subsurface scattering and pink to the ears + the skin in general

next up i'm going to be polishing textures, rigging, and making the pedestal/props (bat, torch, cube for him to stand on)

any feedback you guys have is greatly appreciated!

    Very charming. You got the feel of the character pretty much, as far as I can tell without having played the game.

    Only thing that stood out to me was his torso is rather flat. I get it's supposed to be that but the chest gives a bit of an impression of slanting inwards. Would do good to move those verts outwards a bit I think.

    Thanks! Good catch, I'll tweak the chest area a bit before I go forward with rigging him up.

    Took a little break from the main focus and whipped up the bat lookin' to chomp on him for when i have the final piece + pedestal done.

    still planning on rendering out the hat a little better, changing some values (mostly making the pants a bit darker) and puffing up the torso next!
