How to open a picture of a hero model onto photoshop?

Sorry for the dumb question but i'd like to get a picture open onto photoshop of the base hero model so i can paint around it like most other artists do for dota equipment design?

you'll have to open it, in the modelviewer for instance, take a screenshot and paste that into photoshop

Some of the model zip files on the workshop have base pictures to paint on top of. Though of course not all of them do.
