I'm trying valiantly to get a custom mesh into Skyrim but I'm having a hell of a time. I had to go back and download Max 2011 because apparently there are no tools to export .nifs past that. I tried it with 2013 going out as an .obj and then using nifskope to convert it to a .nif but it was changing the versions and making copying and pasting branches impossible. I guess anyway, I've never done any of this before so working off of intuition/what tutorials I can find.
I went to the nifskope website and downloaded the plugin to export from Max 2011 but it still isn't showing up in my options to export the object. Any ideas? I don't really know the program so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if there's something else afoot.
