Hi, I'm new to 3D, from a 2D background. My goal for learning 3D is to work for the game industry. So far I've used Softimage, ZBrush, Mari, Photoshop, and SAI.
Critiques on what to improve on or encouragement on what is doing well are all appreciated.

Oh, I didn't make the container or the rocks and the landscapes here. My team mate did. I just did the ground texture tiles (dirt, cracks...)
Right now it seems a bit too centered and symetrical, and my eyes want to focus on the mountain range as its deadcentered, and yet they keep getting pulled to the upper left corner because of how bright the sun spot is there in contrast with the rest of the painting, leaving me to completely avoid the right side of your painting.
Maybe play around with the composition of the mountains so its slightly askewed or ease the contrast's transition/ something to make my eyes interested in moving around the piece. For example, maybe you can change the value of those white mushrooms a bit on the right so they aren't blending in too much with the sky behind it. Right now they're a little too close in value.
I also looked at it again and got the feeling you're tying to pull off a maniac vs dementia piece, which in that case makes sense with the centered mountains. Perhaps you can make a split down the middle so the concept is a little more obvious to the viewer? Something like a river or torn-up valley might work.
Hi Deathstick, thank you for the feed back! This is an environment in UDK where we're trying to show a polluted future earth being bio-remediated by engineered fungi. So the dark, leaf-less bamboo represent pollution and poison, while the (more) colorful fungi is cleaning up the soil.
These drawings are actually something for me to fit every asset into 1 picture to see how their colors should work together, and not exactly how the final game environment will be laid out. And your comments lead me to wonder - should concept art be made exactly how the layout of each area of the game environment should look like?
After concept designing some assets and the colors, I focused on making some models and textures. I thought the decision of where things go and how each areas look like is made by the layout artist (which in this case is my team mate)?
