1080p render on the face and graphics (three or four passes i think) then some filmic grading, depth of field and motion blur over the top to help everything sit in nicer
i dont know what he's on about - i've never him... he just kept emailing me asking to build RDJ for me and i had to use it somewhere so i come up with this iron man short animation.
I'm hoping after this he'll leave me alone. its the only way i'll get my life back.
Look, I almost gave up on you. I started working with that Ukrainian artist, you know, the one who looks like Elvis? And I moved to the Ukraine, and it was cold and everyone had guns and smelled like soup.

I wanted to write something witty but tbh my brain just kept saying 'google ukrainian weirdness'
Stop using my model! When you mailed me saying you liked it and could you have a look I figured you just wanted to check out my topology or something. Didn't think you were going to drop it in a sequence and try and pass it off as your own!
i'll get it on the screening room on the 20th Ant hows that - it'll be online with facetube, youpages and vii-mii-o anyways so you can see it there if your not in
It's been a while since I've posted on here, but we have since made a new piece following the success of Iron Man MKZ Armour. It's called Iron Man Gamma Protocol and should be out at some point in 2016. We've all been a little burnt out from doing this in on top of our very demanding jobs so we're currently taking a bit of a break to recharge. I thought I'd post up a few pictures of Stark 2.0 though in the mean time. Sadly as my old website no longer exists a lot of the images on this thread are now broken so I have included a comparison of the two models. More images to follow.
Trying to reply using a very slow phone and no wifi. Been v tough year but still been working hard on this where I can. Will post some hulkbuster shots when I get chance. Cheers Ant
so the last update from Mark was featuring renders of the hulk, so i thought i'd finally add to it and get some renders up of our Hulkbuster. These are wip renders consisting of basic lighting in maya and a simple beauty pass render. In comp i go through a process with the .exr passes pushing various parameters to enhance him somewhat. you can right click on the image and select "view image" to see it higher resolution
so this (below) is how our version of hulkbuster looks overall - i drew some ref from the concept art that Paul Dolan drew up for me and also the art of age of ultron book where one of the hulkbuster designs featured huuuuge cannonball shoulders... i absolutely loved that but the problem was it just didn't work in a rig so it needed splitting up into workable sections. A combination of a muscle spline attached to the clav and upper arm and a group node of driven key meshes helps get the vast majority of busters shoulder motion working automatically for me. Then i have an extra controller to fine tweak the motion against other panels.
you can see here how he looked in the earlier teaser i put out on youtube way back when. We tried to keep him close to the original shape with the tank turret head and thick shoulder plates. But after some concept art redesign and influence it changed to how he looks on the right. Again these are earlier wip shots - the model underwent some finer details again...
quick shot showing some scratch panel damage.. I was in Spain at the time and trying to finish the model off.. i was walking around my wifes home village with her discussing how i just need to find some good scratch/damage ref. We turned a corner and there was literally a tatty old red cattle van parked up with big doors on the back covered in scratches! so i snapped a few shots and that provided the damage!
uv layout - trying to make it neat as i can really...
heres another wip render of the ironman suit inside the hulkbuster armour....
and finally one of the shots rendered/compd up (wip)...
