McKracken's anatomy and sculpting learning thread

Trying to learn human anatomy, i've been told it helps somewhat. Hopefully i'll keep this thread updated so my ignorance is well documented for posterity. Here's what i got at the moment, if you see anything wrong please tell me, if it's a minor or a major problem i'd like to know so i don't do it again :DY0O2crl.png Cheers guys.

Don't know much myself but concentrate on form rather than details at first. I can see alot of errors like the all the legs, forearms, hands, neck. Focus on proportion and how the muscles connect together before going in and sculpting all the finer detail. Look at lots of reference and getting all the basic forms in first. Like i said i dont now much myself as I'm just starting off too, but i hope this helps somewhat

Cheers jordan, it definitely helps but it's a bit vague, i'll try to work on what you said and i can see some of it now. also i've not actually been working on the hands yet, which is why they're so wrong :P

Basically, stop sub dividing early, stick to low resolution geometry and make sure your silhouettes are exactly where they need to be before you start sculpting in details. Big to small.
