Hello fellow polycounters, I'm excited to announce our game, Lacuna Passage, is now up on Kickstarter.

The idea for the game came about after the landing of the Curiosity rover, and our desire to one-day visit the Red Planet.
Our core development team is very small, and all of us are relatively new to making a game of this scale, but we're very proud of what we've been able to produce so far, and if our Kickstarter is successful, we hope to create the game we've had in our minds from the beginning. Thanks for checking it out, and if you do deem us worthy of a few extra bucks, everyone on the team would be eternally grateful.
Also, we're on Steam Greenlight, so if you don't have the money right now, (starving artists and whatnot), give us a vote!

I'll be updating this as time goes on, as we hopefully near/meet/surpass our goal.
UPDATE: Here's some more images of the game, showing off our HUD and Objective marking system.

I'm doing a lot of the larger props, as well as doing the baking/texturing of the smaller props provided by some of our volunteer modelers. The first major one has been the PRT-Rover:

As @gsokol posted, we had some coverage on Kotaku already, and were included in Rock, Paper, Shotguns Kickstarter Katchup:

Here's a couple of the articles that have been written since the first posting.

This one is cool, the guy that wrote it is an aeronautical engineer and has been acting as a consultant for us, one of several we've been talking with to make sure we're not talking out of our asses on some of the more "science-y" bits.

We just sent out some alpha builds to select youtubers, and we expect to have a couple more articles written by today, end of tomorrow.
This is all extremely exciting/panic inducing, as we've been hitting/surpassing our goal every day, and are on track to get funded, but we don't want to leave anything to chance. Hopefully I'll have more good news as time goes on.
EDIT: Looks like one of the guys we sent an alpha build to did a little video about it:

This has been such an amazing month, and I can't wait to really dig in and get to work. Any questions about the game, x70x and I will do our best to answer.
I still would love to help.
