Question about third person camera in UDK.

So while trying to figure out what to go with, UDK or Unity for a small little project, I noticed something with UDK and I'm not sure it's just bad examples I'm seeing or if this is how UDK really is. So when it comes to third person camera in UDK I've noticed that it seems a bit clunky. I've been looking at various UDK projects on youtube, and all of the third person style games people are making have a weird camera movement. Now I know a lot of people are using default characters from UDK and the animation looks weird but I'm talking about the camera movement itself, it's just not smooth.

Am I just seeing really bad examples of it that people don't know how to edit it or is UDK really that bad at it?
