Until I found out that the color picker chooses a darker color off the model than what I want when I'm color sampling from texture painting directly on the model itself. Even with the lighting off, this problem is consisting. I can get the right color from the attached texture file, but anyone who has digital painted know how slow and a disconnected the process is when you can't depend on your current picture for the right colors. Has anyone found a solution to this other than having to 2D paint the texture map (which I hate doing since it's a guessing game with angles and orientations even with the 3d model opened next to it; it's like trying to pee into the toilet while raising your head and using an angled mirror to aim).

I use the former, and I wouldn't go back to Photoshop's 3d painting unless they made some drastic improvements.
