I'm a bit frustrated! :poly127:
I'm not sure how to explain this so I'll just tell you guys what I want to do...
Here's the mesh.
Now I want to open an image with an alpha background (hope I'm saying this right) And assign it to the mesh.
I hope it's not too complicated. In Milkshape 3D it's very simple: All you have to do is open the image and click "assign", and it assigns the image to the selected mesh. Simple!
See:
It doesn't do that in Blender, or at least I'm not understanding how to do this. I have asked someone before, and there's all these steps you have to go through.
I just hope it's not too complicated just to apply and image to a mesh... seriously! lol
Blender is driving me crazy!:poly142:
Thank you!

So click on the material tab, then add a material. Then the next tab over is the texture tab. Add a texture.
Then you can define that you want an image file. Find the file you want and open it under that same tab. If you want to map it to a UV space, you have to unwrap the plane and then tell the texture coordinates under the texture tab to use the UV space.
Additionally, its a bit easier and for many faster to just use the node window. Working in nodes is a bit easier to navigate.
