Ok maybe I am over thinking this and it could be easier then I am making it out to be...lol! I've spent all morning reading about this and trying to figure this out so if anyone can shed some insight on how to do this I would appreciate it. What I have is helmet I am modeling however my edges do not flow that well. I have been reading about trying to select all the verts and do an average on them so that it would line them up into a nice smooth curve. Does anyone know if this is possible inside Max 2013? Or if there is a plugin or script that will help do this? As you can see in the pic below the red part is rather jagged and id like to clean it up by smoothing it out.

or just create a spline the way you want it to look, and snap the verts to it..?
EDIT: What cptSwing linked seems pretty cool.
Really what I am trying to do is the same thing that was talked about in this post.

However the only script that Airbrushed posted goes to a dead link!
If it was just one or two loops and they just needed to be straightened or aligned on one axis you could grab that loop and scale it down along the Z to flatten it. But it seems like everything is off on the mesh and not just in one direction.
Per is right it would take a few min to remodel that and probably more than a day to try and straighten it out and it might not really work, especially with the landmines that are in the mesh.
