Hey Polycounters! I am currently trying to find a way to open a .bmdl file. It is supposed to house a 3d model, but im not sure how to open, extract, or convert the file to a useable 3ds max file format. Any guesses? thanks a bunch!
Couldn't find a direct importer in 5 min of searching tho. Is it ASCII? Maybe you could parse it with another Lidar importer. It's gonna be points though, not polys, so you'll have to topologize it yourself. Good luck!
It's usually used on Wii games, and lesser extent, used by some Japanese game studios.
Not exactly sure, but how did you get the file? Artists usually don't get access to importing this file back into the application, unless it's the engine they're exporting to.
If you're trying to open a games model, then I suggest looking where it came from, what is the games title, and finding the correct place to look on Xentex.com.
