really SCi-Fi badass character wip

Greetings everybody!:)

This is my first thread, don't know why I decided to post it, I guess maybe need some motivation to finish it and it'll be a good stimulus doing this stuff during free time...
at the beginning that was a character without absolutely nothing and then the decision was just to detailing it with highipoly items.
So here are the screenshots of what I've already done.

I would HEAVILY recommend going back and drawing this all out on paper to make sure absolutely what the main thrust of this character is. Right now, it's reading as scatterbrained and lacking unity in theme. The big thing sticking out is the shield and its detailing compared to the rest of the character's elements.

Paper concepting will definitely help.
