Aliens dlc - The Movie Map Pack
We had a lot of fun making some of the Aliens DLC maps and playing/testing them as a group. Im very happy to be working with th talented team at Nerve.
Our designers created some really fun and nostalgic MP maps to play. Gearbox provided us with the opportunity to exercise our creativity, and it was an enjoyable experience to work with them again.
The core art team consisted of 3 of us, where Nostromo (Alien, 1979) was our favorite map to create. We attempted to pack in as many visuals as possible before our cutoff date, but because of time constraints, we were not able to provide the maps with all that we wanted to contribute to them. However, Nostromo came together in about 3-4 weeks- mesh work, deco, and lighting. The scale, dimensions, and layout of the ship had to change for game play, hence, there are some changes from the original multi-deck ship.

Game Over Man!
Fury is a very fun map to play and was designed specifically for deathmatch. Nostromo rooms had to expand for game play and the multi-tiered ship had to be reduced to one floor for fluid marine movement.
On a side note, Nick Wilson at Gearbox added an Easter egg for Fury in a crevice.
