Always on display Image viewer ..

I have been watching some timelapse videos on yt and I have noticed that some of them make use of an image viewer that is always on top of all other windows on the screen.This is a very intelligent and convenient way of painting,modeling or sculpting with reference always on.

Does anyone know of any good ones?I am guessing there are some free or open source ones.I don't get why Windows gallery viewer or photoshop do not have this feature.

I use Irfanveiw. It has the Always on Top option at the bottom of the options tab. It's also free!

Also irfanview. If you get the plugin pack you can view .DDS and some other formats. The interface and functionalities can also be tweaked quite a bit. Like hiding a few of the toolbars, cycling the image sequence when reaching the last image, etc.

Let me add "ghost-it" to the list. Useful little freeware that let you place your image on top of you favorite 3D/2D package with transparency. Can be really handy when it comes to REALLY match a concept.
