scifi walkway

Here is my latest project on top is the concept and on the bottom is my interpretation of it. I decided to go with a more lite scene so that all my props can be seen, as well I chose the signs to be placed on glass so that it did not seem like they were floating which does not make since in my opinion. I hope you like what I have done and would like some feedback on anything I can improve on to make this scene better. :)TestRender_zpsd2c2f635.jpg

The overall final outcome isn't too bad, though before reading I thought it was only a blockout of the concept. Looking at the concept and then the final piece, a lot of the detail from the original was lost in the final. I understand you are going with a cleaner look however for an industrial place it's just too clean. Secondly the shadows look a bit fake.

The overall scene needs a bit more complexity whether you add more objects into the scene at your discretion or retexture the lot with more vibrant and realistic texture. From what I see it looks like you were going with hand-painted textures which still can be a bit more detailed.

Also there's one thing I do not understand, you replaced the holograms with glass, however the glass is not being held by anything and is just floating there, or at least it looks like it.

Sorry that this is a bit scattered I just keep going back and forth picking out little things. The beams can also be integrated better in that they can be actually attached to the wall rather than going through it. The top left corner of the piece is also a bit plan in reference to the concept art.

Well anyway, hope this helped and good luck.

Thanks for the help Vesius Im going back to it and really working everything you suggested. One thing you mentioned is that I was going for a more hand pained look for this scene, which I am really not. Any ideas on any tutorials or anything that could improve these textures. Thanks
