True, the tunnel definitely looks more interesting than the bathroom(since it's primarily come down to those 2).
What I did want to know was the duration of this challenge(after all the talk about changing the duration of this challenge in the current one's thread).
This will be a month, and I find that doable for the tunnel. I will not change any rules till I talk with adam and see what kinda ideas he may have as well.

FYI that tunnel 76 concept art is from a level in Mirror's Edge, so if anyone gets completely stuck you can always find it in the game/YouTube for some reference.

I found this funny no one has mentioned this is already a game scene yet.
Love these threads, never have enough free time to partake in the challenges but definitely enjoy the concept threads and the random visits to the progress people have been making.
I also vote for the tunnel, and think I'll take a stab at it myself when I'm done my current project.
I honestly have no idea what's so appealing about the tunnel...haha
It's a good place for beginners and not only that I feel everyone should be able to tackle it in a month. It also has an emphasis on lighting that can be very valuable for people to learn.
Question. The concept is already a level in Mirror's Edge, so are we supposed to replicate it in the game's style or put our own spin on it? I personally would like to try and match the game's style as closely as possible so my end result will hopefully look like it's from the game itself. I haven't done one of these challenges yet so I don't know if the fact that's it's already an existing game level will affect anything?
I'd say look at the concept, pretend its never been made before, then run with it.
If you want to make it look like mirrors edge in terms of overall visual style, then go for it.
If you want to follow the concept exactly, great.
If you want to make a mobile version, do that.
I read these as being more about personal growth than about specific specs.
Well I will be on Saturday probably in the morning:)
Sadly I won't be able to make that one either, my girlfriend is treating me to something for my bday [of which I have no idea what it is]. So just a quick conclusion would be nice as I do like to follow these challenges and plan on taking part in this next one
It will indeed still be happening, however it will probably be up in a few hours as Alex will most likely be deep in a cat-nap right now.
It's like 1pm here in the UK, but it's still around 4 in the morning back in PST regions
I was indeed in a deep cat nap.
The hangout is always on, I'm just jacking the polycount overflow hangout so you can always join in. I get home around 5 pst every day but if you guys want, I can join at work (but I'll have no mic and no speakers, so text only. We should start a noob challnge Skype group too maybe? Is anyone in favor of that?

'Cheat sheet' xD
I'll probably put my own demented twist to it though.
I'll be honest it's pretty much already picked the next challenge starts in 3 days.
I post the new thread in the last months thread and the concept thread when it has started;)
Do we have the OK to start early?

There's a lot of really cool things going on in that scene.
And now for something completely different.
Carry on.
