DDo (Is it possible to change and update the color map?)

Is it possible to change the color map and then let DDo update automatically? For example If I want to add some color groups for other materials without resetting the whole project and hand painted maps. I understand that i can save a preset and then re-generate the project (But then the hand painted maps/alphas will be lost.

You can do this manually, by editing the layer masks and then copying them to all the appropriate layers in PS. You can also add or remove material types if you keep the naming conventions.

Do this at your own risk though, its pretty easy to break it, so save a backup first.

I would just save your current project as a preset and create a new ddo project using that preset, but with your updated colour map. You'll have to copy over handmade layers manually though, as you mention in your OP. It might be a bit more work initially (a few minutes) but if it saves you hassle later on...

Well a few hours after this question a new dDo is announced. Hope this action will be added, otherwise these workarounds will do ^^.
