Looks good, but I'm not sure about throwing all those different characters together. I had no idea what was going on. And it's a bit worrying how the jokes sounded so lame and juvenile
Oh lordy, the 'in' adult jokes, the pop music, the flat children jokes...
This movie can either be the best thing to watch since How to Train your Dragon, or it will be another cash-cow a la Dr. Suess movies and be used to sell Cars.
Saw the movie last night. It was the funniest 3d animated movie I have ever seen and one of my favorite 3d animated movies of all time.
It is beyond gorgeous and the animation is stellar. It really looks like a stop motion film made from LEGO. Absolutely gorgeous. Voice acting and characters were great. Full of jokes that made me laugh throughout the entire movie.
I was honestly not expecting this movie to be that good and it blew my expectations out of the water. Fantastic, charming and reminded me of why I love LEGO so much.
The reviews so far have been very positive. I was planning on this one anyway because... well, LEGOs. But it will be great to have a decent movie behind the colorful depictions of some of my favorite building blocks.
Saw it this morning! It was indeed, awesome. It's a movie that I'm going to want to see many times, and probably still be noticing new things. There's so much! If you blink you'll miss something.
best movie ever. laughed and laughed, and everything was great. great characters, dialogue, scenarios, just one of the best movies i have ever seen haha
After reading all of you say how good it is I stopped by rottentomatoes.com to check out the reviews. And holy CRAP!!! This movie is at 97%!?!?! Not expecting that at all. Now I must go see it.
If the movie is as good as everyone says it is, Animal Logic really need to fire whoever cut together those trailers, because they made this thing look dreadful.
Now I just have to wait for the standard "arbitrarily making Australia wait for good animated movies" period. At least it's not quite as long as the one for ParaNorman.
I really love the movie!!, love the main character and the jokes.
was sceptical back then because they making the trailer like it was funded by Lucas , WB, DC comic and etc. but apparently the movie is quite opposite of my expectation, which is great!.
saw it last night, definitely go see it. had lots of hidden stuff for lego fancs, comic fans, and even a nice little heart warming ending. it was hilarious.
Those who accuse The Lego Movie of being a feature-length commercial for Legos...are completely correct. That is what it is. It's exactly what it is.
The wrinkle is that it's a really, really, really fantastic commercial, and you should definitely go watch it. What it has to say about itself, the product it's advertising, and the entire sub-culture that has sprung up around that product is poignant and insightful. It is a commercial that is completely unafraid of criticizing it's own subject matter, while simultaneously lionizing the ideals behind it's use. It is, in short, a brilliant, entertaining, and well-executed feature-length commercial.
If at any point in your life you have felt a slight twinge of creativity while playing with a Lego set, any Lego set, you ought to see this movie. There is something for you there.
glad to hear its awesome, I gotta check it out. I was turned off by the trailers, anything with avicii blasting away in the background makes me kinda annoyed right off the bat. like the trailers for wreck it ralph, which turned out to be pretty decent.
no idea charlie day was in it, but that sells me even more.
Just saw it today with my four year old. Wow, not at all what I was expecting. That movie had some pretty deep themes. It was an adult story disguised as a kids movie. We both really liked it, but for different reasons.

Definitely.... They are without a doubt some of the best games ever made. They are so simple and basic and sooo much fun...
The movie, it looks good, but I dunno. Not something I would see in theaters. Looks more like a straight to bluray type movie, or a web series.

I'll probably see it at tomorrow's matinee.

Charlie Day stole the whole show.

Fox news don't like it, so it must be awesome.
