After reading the thread with Jon Jones's portfolio tips, I thought I would spread the word about a new portfolio creating site, Dunked.com.

I've been messing with it since it's closed beta, and I'm super impressed with it. Not only does it have a really clean layout, but it allows you to customize absolutely everything, all without touching code if you don't want to. It's a lot more robust than sites like Carbonmade and Wix. I believe it's still in beta, so not all the options are available at the moment and the themes are limited, but it's definitely worth checking out.

That looks awesome! I wonder how the latency issues are, and if there is any major flash involved, looks too good to be true.

Using Tumblr right now but used to use Carbonmade and this looks like a pretty interesting alternative to that, thanks!

I just signed up, it looks (so far) a lot more promising than Carbonmade and Wix, loving the customization!!

Signed up as I'd like to eventually move away from my crudely html'ed site. Not going to actually use it until they implement the use of an existing/custom domain, though.

Looks like it's very similar to weebly.com, which has been around for awhile. Overall,
I've been pretty happy with the service so far, but if Dunked has more feature rich options available... I could be persuaded to switch over.

I believe you can turn off Lightbox via a check box in the admin panel

yeah I'm using dunked for my folio and actually thinking about moving over to the paid side, but first I want to be able to specify what the right click save image gets called.....dunked just give it a random tribute, whereas I like to have the www address in the image name for everything on the site... besides that I have found it pretty good so far... lightbox is an issue, but when I disable it my images remain tiny on the page with no embiggen (tech speak ftw ) feature so I will stick with it for now.

I like Dunked. Now with custom domain names I think I might go with it as my main folio site . Anybody know if you can password protect a page on it? That is one feature that would make it perfect.

indeed you can, but only on the paid side of things.

Pretty awesome and basic. Ill think about it though I would like more space though. I did see password protection setting inside the customize settings in projects did not use it though.

here is my blog wordpress setup like a site for free also. Things I still like about wordpress is the comments ability but it does make it slightly noisy with misc crap I do not care for etc.
