Hey Welcome to Polycount.
As it turns out a lot of people here have a healthy obsession with lowpoly models; a lot of people love the stuff myself included!
I love lowpoly models. One day I'd love to see a huge scale modern action game with a really late 90s aesthetic one day. Like, something with 3kish poly counts but gigantic textures and hand drawn facial animations. mmmmmmmPH
I used to be all about highpoly art, but over the last year or two I've really come to appreciate the speed at which lowpoly art can be created, and the idea of detail all being done through painting instead of baked source art. The lowpoly thread is my favorite part of the forums these days
I like low poly in the sense that I'm usually left in awe how artists can get away with creating a strong silhouette with so few polygons. It screams to me efficiency, optimization and a strong understanding of shape profile.
Also I like doing low poly models than Sub-D. Sub-D just pisses me off.
I don't do lowpoly models myself, it's not my style or where my interest lies.
But I love looking at the lowpoly thread here and are amazed of the painting skills they posses
It's a joy seeing how they can achieve so much with so little.

is it ok to play with dolls, as long as they're not too detailed?
