HI everyone! I'm making this thread to put the work I've been currently doing and also some new work I plan to do for the future.
Rightyo, first here is a playable Unity Game I worked on for my final year Games Art Course. I plan to do more to it however I might do some other work along side this.
My main aims were to keep it fairly low poly with a kind of card board cut out style, having 2d planes and using Parallax.
Here is what it looks like now:
However it went through many changes so I thought I'd post a few progress shots as well.
The game first started off in UDK, however I quickly realised this wasn't working out:
I went back to the drawing board and came up with these two concepts:
And after some good advice decided to move the project to Unity. Here is my first attempt in Unity:
Again I felt that it wasn't really working, it was far too convoluted and messy. So I really took some time to look into the colours, foreground midground and background, and really pull it back, simplify it.
Here is the end result:
Here is a link to the playable game, it may prompt you to download Unity Web Player if you do not already have it:

Main problems at the moment: the camera still moves forward and backwards even if the character doesn't, revealing parts of the level which aren't meant to be seen. Also the character continuously walks and I need to fix it so he walks only when "d" or "a" is pressed.
I created everything however my character was modeled and animated for me by my friend Jay Alexander.
